How to test Gifty
A short plan to try every part of the site: buying, using a gift card at the store, and the admin side.
This is a test copy. Payments use Razorpay test mode, so no real money is charged or paid out. Test data may be reset at any time.

Tip: keep the customer in one browser and the store or admin in a private window, so you can stay signed in to both.
2. How to pay on the test site
- UPI: enter success@razorpay for a successful payment, or failure@razorpay to try a failed one.
- Netbanking: pick any bank, then click Success (or Failure) on Razorpay's test page.
- Card: use one of Razorpay's test cards from razorpay.com/docs › Test cards, any future expiry date and any CVV.
Never use a real card or UPI ID on this site.
3. Things to try
Tick them off as you go. If something looks wrong, see "Reporting a problem" at the end.
A. Choose a city and find a store
- Open the home page and pick a city (try Ahmedabad).
- Open a category, search for "cafe", and open a store page.
- Try the same on your phone.
Each city shows its own stores. Store pages show amounts, how to use the card and things to remember.
B. Buy and send a gift card (customer)
- Sign in as the customer and open The Hungrito (Ahmedabad).
- Choose ₹1,000, send it as a Link, add a message, and pay. Untick "Use Gifty cash" to pay the full amount online.
- On the success page, copy the gift link and open it in a private window.
You pay ₹1,023.60 (₹1,000 gift + ₹20 fee + ₹3.60 GST). The gift link shows the code and PIN. The GST invoice for the fee is under My gifts.
C. Use the gift card at the store
- Sign in as The Hungrito store and enter the code and PIN from step B.
- First redeem a bill of ₹400, then the remaining ₹600.
- Try a wrong PIN once.
After ₹400 the card shows ₹600 left; after ₹600 it is fully used. A wrong PIN is refused. For the full ₹1,000 the store receives ₹830.98 in total (see the table in section 4). Each redemption has its own settlement statement.
D. Automatic store payout (Razorpay Route)
- As admin, open Vendors › The Hungrito › Link to Razorpay Route.
- Buy another Hungrito gift card as the customer (step B) and redeem it at the store (step C).
- As admin, open Payouts and look at "Route transfers".
The store shows "Linked". The new settlement is sent to the store automatically: "On the way", then "Sent", and the store sees it as paid. If linking shows an error, note the message; Razorpay checks the store details.
E. Manual payout for a store not on Route
- Buy a gift card for Glow Spa & Salon and redeem it as that store.
- As admin, open Payouts › "Due to stores", enter any reference (for example TEST001) and click Pay.
The amount owed drops to zero and the store sees the payout with your reference.
F. Gifty cash, balance check and new sign-up
- Create a new customer account from Sign up.
- Buy a gift card using the welcome Gifty cash at checkout.
- Check a card's balance from Check balance.
New accounts get ₹50 Gifty cash, which lowers the online amount. The balance page shows what is left and the expiry date.
G. Admin checks
- Open an order and its "where every rupee goes" split.
- Look at the tax ledger and the invoices (print or save as PDF).
- Approve or reject a store application from the List your store form.
Invoices show GSTIN, SAC codes and CGST/SGST or IGST. Issued invoices cannot be edited.

Fee ₹20 + 18% GST paid by the buyer; 10% commission + 18% GST and 0.1% TDS from the store; restaurants also 5% GST u/s 9(5). The gateway amount is an estimate on test payments.
5. Reporting a problem
For each problem, send: the page address, which login you used, the steps you took, what you expected and what happened, and a screenshot. Add the order number or gift card code when there is one.
